Dan and Karla Vallely

have decided to put their skills together to create Vallely Books. Dan is an accomplished author, who was retired but is back writing. He sold 600,000 children’s books including the Possum creek series. We have many exciting manuscripts we are working on.

Our first combined book, “Counting’s Fun – where the sea meets the sun”, is a not for profit book to assist in Karla’s work of education in the Solomon Islands. The poem is written by Dan and illustrations by Karla. It was developed out of a need for the children to have a familiar environment to learn to count. Karla formed the charity www.friendsofbrilliantstar.org after seeing the lack of resources and assistance for early education teachers in the Solomons.
